What are the rules for?
Football has its own rules - they’re what makes the game fair for everyone.
You play on a pitch with lines. When the ball goes out over a line, together with you, the game stops for a moment.
You don’t touch the ball with your hands - it likes your feet best, but you can also stop it with your belly, chest, knee, or head.
And the most important rule of all: you respect your opponent. You never kick them, pull them, or push them on purpose. You play hard, but fair.
What do you do? Remember one thing: keep the ball inside the lines and away from your hands, and always treat your opponent fairly.
