Be brave!

The most important rule in this book: be brave. Don’t be afraid to run forward, even if you’re far from the ball. Even if you’re the goalkeeper!

Really - the best players sometimes run with the ball across the whole pitch, even the ones who defend the goal. Courage and taking up space on the pitch is something anyone can do, no matter how good they are yet at kicking a ball.

What do you do? When you see open space on the pitch - run there! The more space you claim boldly, the more good things you can do for your team.
